    Independent tests and reviews

    Sources checked 18 October 2026

How fast is it in actual work?

Reading a long document and writing an answer stress different parts of a computer. These reviewer measurements show both. A token is a piece of text, so tokens per second measure text throughput.

    01 / Laptop comparison

    MSI, ASUS, and MacBook Pro

TechTesters, 16 October 2026. GPT-OSS 120B, 128 GB per laptop. Both columns show tokens/s; higher is better.

ASUS ProArt P14128 GB unified memory3,05558.9
    MacBook Pro M4 Max128 GB unified memory1,15186.2

In this test, the RTX Spark laptops read faster. The MacBook Pro writes faster. Your input length and answer length affect the total wait.

    Test method and other workloads

The reviewer used identical model files and the same self-built llama.cpp version. Laptops were plugged in at their highest performance setting. Each speed test ran two to five times. Prompt reading used 2,048 tokens. Exact build identifiers and quantisation details are not supplied beside the charts.

For FLUX.1-schnell image creation, MSI took 7.2 seconds, ASUS took 8.4 seconds, and the Mac took 26.9 seconds. The task used 1024 × 1024 pixels and four steps, with CUDA on RTX Spark and MLX on the Mac.

For a 13.9-minute recording, Whisper large-v3-turbo took 24.6 seconds on MSI, 25.9 seconds on ASUS, and 12.4 seconds on the Mac. Image and speech tests used platform-specific software.

    02 / Desktop comparison

Mac Studio or two DGX Sparks?

Alex Ziskind compares one M5 Ultra Mac Studio with 256 GB against two DGX Spark desktops with 128 GB each. These are desktop results.

    32K code prompt + 300-token answerDeepSeek V4 Flash demonstration · seconds · lower is betterAbout 50About 17

The 32K demonstration includes a 300-token answer. It measures a complete request, rather than prompt reading alone. The opening generation test favours the Mac; the long-input example favours the Spark pair.

    Software, several users, and limits

The Spark pair uses vLLM and tensor parallelism over a 200 Gb/s link. The Mac tests use llama.cpp and MLX. Model files differ, with four-bit quantisation on each platform. The 256 GB on the Spark pair is distributed across two machines.

For eight users running Qwen3.8 Flash Next, the video reports 120 tokens/s in total on the Spark pair and 70 tokens/s with oMLX on the Mac. These totals combine all users; each user gets part of the throughput.

We have not verified a matched RTX Spark laptop-versus-Mac Studio run. These review groups use different hardware, software, and workloads. Check the original tests before applying a result to your own setup.

    A compatibility check matters.

Shared memory is not dedicated VRAM. Peak FP4 figures do not predict application speed. Local execution also depends on the model and every connected tool.

    RTX Spark laptop questions

Which manufacturers make RTX Spark laptops?

NVIDIA's 16 October 2026 launch list includes ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI. This page verifies Malaysian ASUS and MSI configurations and links to the wider manufacturer lineup. A global launch does not confirm local stock.

Is RTX Spark the same as DGX Spark?

No. RTX Spark powers Windows laptops and compact PCs. DGX Spark is a separate GB10 desktop system running NVIDIA DGX OS. Choose between them by portability, software requirements, and workload.

Is there a DGX Spark laptop?

NVIDIA calls the laptop platform RTX Spark. DGX Spark is the desktop product. A laptop with RTX Spark is not sold under an official DGX Spark laptop name.

What is the RTX Spark laptop price in Malaysia?

On 18 October 2026, MSI Malaysia listed its 64 GB / 1 TB Prestige N16 Flip AI+ at RM19,699. Its 128 GB / 2 TB version was RM30,699. ASUS announced the listed ProArt P14 and P16 configurations at RM29,999 each. These are manufacturer prices. Anchor Sprint quotations and stock require confirmation.

Is 128 GB unified memory the same as 128 GB of dedicated VRAM?

No. The processor and graphics processor share unified memory. Windows and applications use part of that capacity. The memory available to an AI model depends on the rest of the workload.

Will my current Windows applications work?

RTX Spark uses Windows on Arm. Check your applications, drivers, and development dependencies before purchase. NVIDIA provides Windows Arm64 development guidance; Linux Arm64 packages for DGX Spark do not run directly in native Windows Python.

Can I run AI offline on an RTX Spark laptop?

Supported local models can run without a cloud inference service once the required files are installed. Connected tools, cloud features, licences, and updates can still require internet access. Check the complete workflow.

Is an RTX Spark laptop faster than a Mac Studio?

We have not verified a matched laptop-versus-Mac Studio benchmark. TechTesters compares MSI and ASUS RTX Spark laptops with a MacBook Pro M4 Max. A separate Alex Ziskind video compares a 256 GB M5 Ultra Mac Studio with two 128 GB DGX Spark desktops. Results depend on the model, input length, software, and number of users. This page shows the review groups separately with their sources and test conditions.

Can Anchor Sprint help with local AI setup?

Tell us your applications, model, data sources, and expected workload. We can discuss hardware selection, software compatibility, and a separate scope for local AI setup or integration.

How do I order an RTX Spark laptop from Anchor Sprint?

Select your preferred model and quantity in the stock notification form. We will email you when Anchor Sprint has stock ready. You can then confirm the price and delivery details and place your order. Registration requires no payment and does not reserve stock.
